Inspired to get our community to share their capabilities with StreamSets. We are excited to launch our first-ever hackathon - Pipeline Battle for our Data Champions. Create one or more pipelines that make a complete data integration using Data Collector or Transformer. May the most impressive or creative Pipelines win.

This hackathon is timed to coincide with DataOps Summit following the training sessions on August 29th, 5:30 - 8:30 PM. All levels of experience are welcome and at no cost. Come connect with other data professionals and share your pipeline for a chance to win $500!

It's easy to submit, make sure to:

1. To join the hackathon, register for DataOps summit and select hackathon.
2. Create a new topic in the Pipeline Battle for our Data Champions category. (Each submission needs to have its own topic thread)
3. Add an image of your sample pipeline. (MAKE SURE NO PERSONAL, CREDENTIALS, OR COMPANY INFO IS SCREENSHOT OR SHARED)
4. Add an explanation of 2-3 sentences of your pipeline use case and benefits.
5. Lastly, make it fun! Create something useful, fun, creative, and or wacky.
6. Have a chance to explain and defend your pipeline in front of our panel of judges.

1st Place - $500
2nd Place - $250
3rd Place - $100

Judging criteria & Judges

• Use of StreamSets: - 80%
  • The application uses StreamSets (Y/N)
  • The application uses StreamSets and at least use two connectors (Y/N)
  • Utility & Usefulness. Does the Job efficiently solve a real-world or current problem? (1-10)
  • Does this job impress you with creativity or wow you with innovation? (1-10)
  • Did you learn something new from hearing the presentation (In-person panel judge)? (1-10)
• Boost your favorite pipeline - 20%
  • The pipeline with the most likes and interactions via the community platform.
